- 03 May 10 -  Launch of New Level 1 "Beginning Coach" by AA and ASC

On the weekend, 1-2 May 10, four Victorian ATFCA Course presenters (Neville Down, Gayle Anderson, Bernie Curtin and Bryan Neighbour) were among some 40 course presenters from across Australia attending the launch and presenter and assessor workshop at the AIS. Michael Poulton (AA) announced that the new level 1 one day course, prepared by Athletics Australia is still at the draft stage but almost ready and will be submitted quite soon for national endorsement as an accredited coaching qualification.

- 01 Apr 10 -  ATFCA Vic Endorsed as AA Coach Education Adviser

Michael Poulton, National Coaching Manager, Athletics Australia, has advised that ATFCA Victoria's application to be an Endorsed Coach Education Provider through Athletics Australia in Victoria, has been approved.

The new "Beginning Coach" program will be launched nationally at a workshop to be held at the AIS on 1-2 May, 2010. Athletics Australia will fund several ATFCA Victoria presenters/assessors to attend this workshop.

The workshop will involve presentations and practical sessions to detail the content and prepare the presenters and assessors to deliver the program.
